About Us
Born and raised in Hawaii, I left Oahu and journeyed through the Mainland to discover my purpose. In 2013, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California Baptist University (CBU), with a goal of one day owning my own business. Unsure what that business would be, I prayed and found myself applying to CBU’s School of Counseling Psychology that same year.
In 2015, I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling and Mental Health Counseling. Working across individual, couples, child, and family therapy, I discovered the central role attachment plays in our need to connect with others and the world around us.
After graduate school, I spent several years as a General Manager at a private practice, where I learned the operations behind running one.
In 2017, I began training as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), earning full certification in 2020. Through that work, I saw firsthand the trauma experienced by both partners, the addict and the betrayed partner and the rupture it creates in the relational bond, which deepened my commitment to trauma-focused training.
In 2019, I completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through Insight Counseling and Education Center.
From the moment I left the islands, my journey led me to becoming a therapist grounded in attachment and relational connection. Today, that journey has become Steadfast Counseling Center: a safe space for individuals and couples to process, heal, and reconnect.
Our team is here to help each individual and couple navigate the incredible journey towards reconnection!
